Hattah-Kulkyne Nationalpark is located at the border to New South Wales in the
northwest of Victoria. On the one hand mallee eucalypt trees are characteristic for
this area. On the other hand the Murray River dominates the eastern part of the park
supplying a fertile landscape. Often rainfalls quickly make roads unaccessible but
the Hattah-Lakes system with its occasionally huge amounts of water led to a rich
variety of water birds. |
