Victoria Grampians NP
picture selection: Victoria
closest town(s): Halls Gap,
Stawell, Horsham
Grampians Nationalpark consist of a fascinating rocky and hilly landscape that invites you to do a lot of
walking. It has a rich flora and fauna. Even climbers might have fun in the Grampians. In addition there
are several places with aboriginal rock paintings but most of them are not accessible. A very nice hike
with beautiful views starts close to Halls Gap following the Wonderland Track crossing the range with
the same name. In total there are more than 150 kilometers of walking tracks leading through the park.
Another nice but more difficult hike leads to the summit of Mount Stapylton in the northern part of the
Grampians. Having good weather conditions it might offer a beautiful view over the surrounding areas.
The name Grampians was given to the area following the Scottish ranges of the same name.
