The sand coloured rocks of Kings Canyon with their crevices are an ideal habitat
for lizards (here: pogona vitticeps). If you sometimes think there is something
scurrying over the rocks it will probably be no hallucinations due to heat but
just one of these about 50cm long lizards. The picture shows a baby of about 10cm length.
