| MacDonnell Ranges stretch from Alice Springs to the west and the east. The western range is mostly situated within West MacDonnell Nationalpark. There are a lot of walking trails through numerous gorges of the MacDonnell Ranges, some of them being Simpsons Gap and Standley Chasm. More to the west you will find Ormiston gorge, Glen Helen gorge and Redbank gorge. | |||
