| Mount Buffalo Nationalpark is located north of the Great Dividing Range and Alpine Nationalpark. There is a road leading almost to the summit of the 1723 m high Horn. Characteristic views include granite formations, waterfalls and rapids. Cresta Valley and Dingo Dell are favourite skiing areas in winter. In summer however trained paragliders and climbers come into the park. Lake Catani is good for canoeing and swimming.The area became a nationalpark in 1898. | |||
