Alpine Nationalpark with its almost 6.500 square kilometers is one of the larger nationalparks.
It is part of the Great Dividing Range and includes the Australian Alps consisting of the four
areas Bogong, Wonnangatta-Moroka, Cobberas-Tingaringy and Dartmouth. You can follow
the Australian Alps Walking Track along 655 kilometers starting from Walhalla to the suburbs
of Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory. But the main attraction in Alpine Nationalpark
is skiing during winter months. There are several roads laeding to the skiing area.
