Kalbarri Nationalpark covers a bushland area of about 1000 square kilometers.
During spring many wild flowers are in bloom. The other attractions of the park
stretch along Murchison River which eroded a nice meandering gorge. There
are several lookouts which are reachable on short trails from the car parks,
e.g. Hawk's Head which is accessible from the highway.
Entering the park via the main road you will then reach the gorges called Loop and
Z-Bend as well the nice rock arch called Nature's Window. When you continue from
the town Kalbarri to the south you reach a very nice coastal area but that
is not part of Kalbarri Nationallpark. |
