| Hartz Mountains Nationalpark is less than 100 kilometers away from Hobart and therefore a famous place for day-trips particularly on weekends. The park is listed on the world heritage and shows wide alpine moorlands and a lot of glacial lakes which are surrounded by preciptous rocks and dense rainforest. You should be aware of fast changing weather conditions. The first stops are Waratah Lookout and the lookout platform at Arve Falls. It takes a little bit more time to do the walks to Lake Osborne and to Hartz Peak. | |||||
