| Asbestos Range Nationalpark is about 25 kilometers from Devonport and named after the highest peak in the park Mt Asbestos. Actually until the 20's asbestos was mined here. Because there are still negative associations - in despite of more than 80 years without mining - people discuss about a new name for the park. There are four places for camping and several signposted walking trails. The park is well known for birds' observation. | |||
