Capdepera is situated only three Ks from the famous tourist's residence Cala Ratjada. It is famous for the castle which is known as the best preserved medieval castle of Majorca. There is a legend dealing with the chapel and a statue of Virgin Mary which were added in 14th century. While the statue was brought up the hill fog was appearing in the bay forcing attacking pirates to leave. After that the castle was never again attacked. From the castle you might have a very nice view of the surrounding plains.
