| Roadtrains are the main transport medium for loads especially on the Stuart Higway which is the main road connection between north and south going right through the middle of the continent. Most of the time they are about 50 metres long but they can even reach lenghts of a hundred metres. Roadtrains are very common on the road section between Alice Springs and Darwin and they cause the death of many wild animals like kangaroos during the night. Even car drivers should be careful heading these motorized giants. | |||
