Mount William Nationalpark in the northeast of Tasmania is a little bit off the main track. The naming
is due to Mount William which is only 216 meters high but nevertheless dominates the surroundings.
The hike to the summit is worth doing because you will have beautiful views. The area was declared
nationalpark mainly to protect the Forester kangaroo. There are a lot of poosibilities for swimming,
surfing and diving. In addition the park is good for observing animals. I was surprised to meet a
wombat during daylight. |
